Jesus commanded it
Jesus commissioned His followers to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them to obey everything He commanded.
BAPTISM AT PASSION
Baptism is how Jesus calls believers to publicly identify with His death, burial, and resurrection. It is not about having everything figured out—it is about trusting Him and taking your next faithful step.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
In the New Testament, people heard the good news of Jesus, believed, repented, and were baptized. Baptism is a God-given response of faith and a visible declaration that our old life is buried with Christ and that we have been raised to walk in new life.
WHY BAPTISM?
Jesus commissioned His followers to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them to obey everything He commanded.
Going beneath the water pictures burial with Jesus. Rising from it pictures resurrection and the new life He gives.
Baptism publicly identifies us with Jesus and welcomes us into a shared life of discipleship with His people.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Let us know you are interested. A pastor or leader will listen to your story, answer questions, and help you understand the meaning of baptism.
We will explain the service, what to bring and wear, and where to meet. You will not be left wondering what happens next.
You will be baptized by immersion as the church celebrates what Jesus is doing in your life. Your story can encourage someone else to take a step too.
COMMON QUESTIONS
No. Baptism is not a reward for perfect people. It is a step of trust and obedience for people who are turning to Jesus.
We respect your family and the faith represented in that moment. At Passion, we practice baptism for people who personally place their faith in Jesus. A pastor would be glad to talk with you about what that means for your story.
We want children to understand the gospel and express their own trust in Jesus. Our family ministry team partners with parents to have that conversation carefully rather than using a single automatic age.
No act earns God’s grace. Baptism is the faith-filled response Jesus gave His followers and is consistently joined with conversion in the New Testament. We take it seriously without treating it as a human achievement.
You are welcome to ask them. Starting a conversation does not obligate you to schedule a baptism.
